Fluid Additives

All of the K-3BMI South Texas service locations are capable of handling our customers fluid transportation needs.
Our Alvin, Bay City, and Brookshire locations are capable of mixing KCL and storage as well as sales of drilling mud.

Our Alice facility has a complete Drilling Mud and Clear fluids manufacturing plant.

K-3 Services provides a variety of additives for solids free completion and workover fluid systems used in oil and gas operations.

Packer Fluid Applications:
Corrosion control of packer fluids can be accomplished with our line of CORRFIX corrosion inhibitors. CORRFIX LDB is used in primarily light density brines such as field saltwater, KCl brines, 10.0 ppg NaCl brine. CORRFIX HDB is used in high density brines of CaCl2, CaCl2/CaBr2, CaCl2/CaBr2/ZnBr2, and NaBr with bottom hole temperatures up to 275° F. For higher bottom hole temperatures, CORRFIX HT high temperature inhibitor is recommended.

For light density brines where dissolved oxygen and bacteria are of concern, K-3 services provides both an oxygen scavenger and biocide for controlling these two problems.

Workover Operations:
K-3 Services carries a complete line of additives for workover operations that include:

K-3 Services has spacer products for cleaning the casing and tubulars for wells drilled with either oil base mud or water base mud. The Klean Wash spacer systems are designed for use in displacing drilling mud from the well bore with the selected completion fluid. The Klean Wash spacer design in conjunction with hydraulic design will aid in cleaning the well bore and tubuluars during introduction of the clean solids free completion fluid into the well.
